The Church on the Mountain and the Church in the Valley

The church on the mountain is like Moses receiving the ten commandments on Mount Sinai. He accepted the conditions of the covenant God was offering, committing to His unchanging Word. The church in the valley is like the Israelites who didn’t go up the mountain but created an image of a different god to serve, fitting to their own desires.
